Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Fayette County Criminal History. Visiting or using any part of the site means that the visitor agrees to them. Anyone who does not accept these conditions should stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Fayette County Criminal History is privately operated, is not affiliated with government, and is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor an advertising partner supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference resource explains how public criminal records are organized in Fayette County and Tennessee. It points to the sheriff, criminal courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Department of Correction, and Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry. Outside tools also may be linked. The site itself is not a government database, law firm, private investigation service, or consumer reporting agency.

2. Rules for Using This Site

A visitor may use the material only for lawful personal research and public-record access. By using it, the visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any federal, Tennessee, or local law
  • Interfere with the site's operation, security, or access controls
  • Use automated means to copy, scrape, overload, or probe the site
  • Misrepresent identity or authorization to an agency or service
  • Use records or links to threaten, exploit, or harm another person
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through an official link may not be used to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Tennessee registry data is meant for public safety. The Tennessee Sexual Offender and Violent Sexual Offender Registration, Verification and Tracking Act, including T.C.A. ยง 40-39-206, controls public registry information and does not authorize vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Fayette County Criminal History does not verify identity, assemble consumer reports, or evaluate anyone's eligibility. Material from this site must not be used for credit, hiring, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose. A person who needs a legally authorized official check must use the proper Tennessee Bureau of Investigation process or another provider that lawfully meets the required standard.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It does not create an attorney-client relationship and cannot determine how a Fayette County charge, warrant, disposition, registry duty, or expungement statute applies to an individual. A licensed Tennessee lawyer should address case-specific questions.

6. No Warranties

The site and its contents are provided as available, without an express or implied warranty. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted access, fitness for a purpose, or that every government address, fee, record, status, and link remains current. The originating office must verify important facts.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Government pages, search partners, advertisers, and other destinations operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their systems, records, fees, availability, or results. A referral payment may be earned when a visitor chooses a paid partner service, but that does not make the partner's product ours.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless a separate notice says otherwise, the site's original text, design, logos, graphics, and code are protected and belong to Fayette County Criminal History or its licensors. Personal, noncommercial reading is permitted. Republishing, modifying, distributing, or building upon protected content requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, Fayette County Criminal History and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss tied to use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on information, an outside link, or a third-party service. Any direct liability is limited to the amount a visitor paid us for the relevant access, which normally is zero.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, costs, losses, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's unlawful use, breach of these terms, violation of another person's rights, or misuse of criminal-record information.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms without regard to choice-of-law rules. A dispute connected with use of the site must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised when the service, business practices, or law changes. The current version takes effect when posted. Continued use after an update means the visitor accepts the revised conditions.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended, without advance notice, when a visitor violates these terms, threatens the site or another person, misuses information, or creates legal or technical risk. Provisions that logically continue after access ends remain enforceable.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited as needed and the rest of the terms will remain in effect.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the contact page. That contact does not reach the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, a court, TBI, or another government custodian.
